Dear Necy, I do not know what city or state you reside in but if you're here in california I can suggest a place for your husbands first outing, it was my first and repeated the visit about 50 times since my first out on March 8th 2011. It's called "Hamburger Mary's" in Long Beach California. They have Tgirl Tuesday every week, with karaoke and dancing, and Tgirl saturday the first saturday of every month. The Vagabond Inn is directly across the street and give online discounts. I found Mary's through tgirlnights.com, there are many other clubs listed their also. As for smaller size shoes, the Westminster Mall caters to an Asian community, and you know how small their feet are (lucky broads, I wear a womans 13 or 13) so the shoe stores there should carry shoes to fit him. There is a big WSS, Warehouse Shoe Source, at the entrance on the north side of the mall (facing the 405 Fwy). If you or your hubby wants to chat feel free to contact me... Katherine Dee (FB).

I wanted to post this as a reply and a comment to insure that everybody got it.
First of all I never thought I'd hear such closed minded and prejudice remarks from another TG, Especially towards a GG, either straight or lesbian, who have been, for the most part, some of our biggest supporters. I am a heterosexual cross dresser, Who has gone through 3 non-accepting wives, searching for one that would be. I will be 61 years old on May 7th and have not given up hope, I am still searching. I accept friendship and advice from TG's and GG's alike, and from wherever else I can get it. The perspective of a GG is nice to have also. Not all minds think alike, get all the info you can, from everywhere you can, and sort it out in your mind what might work best for you. Love, Hugs and Kisses, Katherine Dee (FB). PS. Being an ex police officer and crossdresser myself, who is out to friends but not family and co-workers, I have dealt with a lot of issues regarding different legalaties. Before summer comes, and you are possibly involved in a compromising situation, I would speak with a lawyer that handles discrimination law suits. I am sure you can get numerous referrals from our TG sisters from TG support groups. If you have no negative quality or attendance issues at work then your employer has no proven reason to lay you off or release you. If he does so you can leave with the comment "I spoke with my lawyer, he feels this is discriminatory, and you will be hearing from him. You can collect unemployment while the suit is filed and awaiting a trial date, if it should come to that. If they cancel the layoff you must remember to keep your nose very clean for they will look for any reason to get rid of you from then on. Document everything with date, times and names, especially other employees discrepancies, that way they will have to prove why they got rid of you for 1 issue while others had multiple issues. Also, get everything the employer says in writing. If they say they are letting you go for cut back reasons make sure nobody is still there who was hired after you. But first of all make sure you speak with an attorney.

But what if the third box was Androgynous? would that create a major tailspin within the parties? How many individuals/representatives would move over? good question and how do they really think now, male or female? is this why there is always such gridlock? the only thing wrong with being androgynous is the lack of acceptance.
If there is conflict within a persons mind, how could that person address a nation not being clear as to who they are?

Life isn't all about body image.

That was not an issue, for me, until I started dressing regularly and realized that "one size fits most" doesn't fit ME.

Nor is it all about Politics ... an increasingly awkward issue, since the Two-Party System became the same thing, seen from two perspectives ... but still just a matter of the "Ins" and the "Outs".

However, you've hit the ball out of the park by describing how both issues overlap in this increasingly complex world.

That overlap is even more evident, and important, for those of us who don't fit comfortably in either of the two "SLOTS" which have been arbitrated for the convenience of statisticians and the sorry slugs who make a living by designing data-input forms.

There's little that you or I can do to reconcile the dichotomy of data input. The inclusion of an "OTHER" option is a small, but important step. I'm pleased that you chose this topic for discussion.

The solution would be to try to define "sex" (as in "gender") to fit every possible combination. That's obviously not a viable solution, however, as it would add at least another page to every questionnaire, and still there would be sub-sets of sexual preference who would resent not being included.

For now and for the foreseeable future, we will all fit in the "OTHER" slot. Which isn't all bad, since for many of us our personal life lies in the daily decision about whose Tab "A" fits into whose Slot "B".

Hi CiCi, excellent article! You are a critical thinker, and that is a rarity these days. You are spot on saying we need to eliminate
the boxes. We are all human, and that is something we have been taught to forget. The powers that be, want us to be divided so we can more easily be controlled. It's Coke vs Pepsi, McDonalds vs Burger King, Ford vs Chevy etc.
Government combined with Madison Ave. and Wall St. have convinced us that there are only two ways to select anything, so we mostly end up picking the "lesser of two evils". We all need to wake up to what's going on around us. We have
allowed ourselves to be socially
engineered, and that has had a trickle down effect on society in general. It would be great if we could use the un-tapped resources of the 3rd sex to raise awareness, not only to the gender issues, but to the political, social and policy
issues that take more of our freedoms every day. I'd be very happy to work with you on this, should you feel the same way. Keep

But if we both drink our drinks enough, then it's all good I guess. And where did you get that outfit? Amazing. Imve been wearing mostly short skirts and black stockings with strappy heels to show off my amazing long legs. But you look amazing. You've started me tinking about changing my look.
Anyway, I loved what you wrote. But there are alternatives to the 2 party political syste stranglehold. I voted for Nader in the 2000 Presidential election. I liked a lot of what the Green Party platform stood for. More freedom, caring about working class and poor people, caring about nature and the environment. Of course Ralph Nader is a little bit of a nut but he said some inconvenient truths about corporate control of the political system through campaign contributions and of the media through corporate control of broadcast media. GE owns NBC, Rupert Murdoch owns Fox News. It's an interlocking conspiracy of the media and their two sided talking heads, the corporations that own the politicians with their donations and the politicians who need the media to be heard and seen and get air time and get reelected. Politicians work for corporations or the media when they leave officce. The real corporate higher-ups become part of the government and set policy that helps the corporations. Robert Rubin and Henry Paulson from Goldman Sachs, the most powerful investment bank on Wall Street, were both Secretary of the Treasury. Rubin for Bill Clinton, Paulson for the second George Bush. It's a revolving door. Work in a corporation, work in the government, back and forth they go.
Then last year I worked on a campaign for a Libertarian candidate for U.S. Congress. He got 20% of the vote. The incumbent won. Big surprise. But there were some really smart, tough independent people working on the campaign. People who could think for themselves and not just follow the herd.That is really rare. I love their slogan: "More freedom, Less government". A lot of the sentiment and the beliefs of Libertarian people trace back to the colonial days when the colonists threw off an oppressive government. At that time it was England. Today, it's based in Washington DC. Some of the people I met on that campaign are very close. That's a long story.
But we live in the U.S.A. This is what we do and what we've been doing for hundreds of yeara- arguing, debating, complaining, protesting, everyone expressing their view and trying to change the government and try to make it better. It's a great country. A great system. It never ends. I'm a patriot. I love the United States of America. Another long story ... LOL
But there's this song by The Talking Heads called "Don't Worry About The Governmment". That's probably the best description of how I really feel. I'm thinking about when those new hot boots will get here by UPS. And how do you learn how to apply eye liner properly. Peace. ... tara-

Hi Cici,
I've caught bits and pieces of your blog now and then. Your right on track here with this one about the two party system. In government and in sexual awareness. There is a lot to said about both. Change builds upon change,things are never set in stone unless an uneducated society wills it to be so. At the end of the day we are all liberal and conservative, heterosexual and transgender. We give a little so we can take what we need out of life only to return it ten fold. However, the focus should never be on which box you get to select but rather on how to eliminate the box altogether.

After being out of work for 11 months I've finaly got back to my chosen career in maintenance of industrial sewing machine's as a man (asked not to dress female or makeup at work) I told them up front, so with painted toe nails and hidden bras under sweaters and after three weeks on the job I've begun to worry about summer and being able to hide my breast, I've begun to wear sports bras that squish me down but I don't know how long I can do that, I already want to let the girls breath so I may have to take the hit and let them out when it gets to be too hot
